- Dr. O’Connor graduated magna cum laude from Alfred University with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. While at Alfred University he played lacrosse, and served as team captain. Before moving onto Stony Brook School of Medicine, Dr. O’Connor was the assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse team at Bates College. After his completion of medical school at Stony Brook, he completed his orthopedic surgical residency at University of Connecticut. Dr. O’Connor completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Orthopedic Research in Richmond, Virginia. He has been practicing in Eastern Connecticut since 2011. While there he served as the Team Physician for Eastern Connecticut State University.
- Dr. O’Connor is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He holds a subspecialty in Sports Medicine. He is involved in orthopedic resident education and is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Orthopedics at UCONN School of Medicine. He is affiliated with The Bone & Joint Institute. He is Mako certified on Total Knee replacement. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Connecticut Orthopedic Society.
- Dr. O’Connor is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and boxer dog, Wilson. In his free time he enjoys playing lacrosse, basketball, golf and hiking. He and his wife are both avid travelers.
